The Old Infirmary offers a unique stay, blending historical charm with a convenient location near the town center, making it easy to enjoy shopping, dining, and drinks. Guests appreciate the building's history and the beautifully preserved rooms, such as 'Pasteur' and the 'Superior Studio', where you can even see initials carved into wooden beams. While some ground-floor guests have noted noise from upper floors or the nearby Asda, the inclusion of amenities like a well-equipped kitchenette with tea and coffee, along with easy on-site parking, generally contributes to a pleasant experience.

historic charm and modern comfort combined!

quirky charmuseful kitchenettenatural lightconvenient parking
I found the quirky charm of the building good, really appreciating the blend of history and modern updates. the kitchenette was very useful. It had all the essentials for making tea and simple meals. i also loved how much natural light filled the room from the large windows. parking right outside made everything easier, especially with my luggage.
the floor needed vacuuming in the kitchen area as i stepped on something sharp, so that could be improved. that was my only real issue during an otherwise good visit

lovely bathroomconvenient locationear plugssqueaky floorboards
The bathroom was LOVELY with a fab shower. The location was great being very convenient for EVERYTHING. It had the added benefit of parking. It was fairly compact but more than enough room for a short stay.
On arrival, i noticed ear plugs placed on the pillows. The apartment above me was inhabited by elephants!!! They trotted loudly across the floor throughout the night and early morning and the squeaky floorboards didn't help either.

Charming Stay

special charmexcellent locationwooden beamsearly footstep
The building's history added a special charm. The location was excellent. I was very close to everything yet away from busy streets. 'Superior Studio' had been beautifully preserved. I could still see the initials carved into wooden beams.
I was on the ground floor and could hear every footstep from the people above at 6.30 am. This cannot be overcome but it's just letting you know. Tuning the TV to any stations did not work at all I tried this numerous times.
